We are looking for someone who ideally already has some relevant experience, ideally a minimum of 2 years, and has demonstrated the skills necessary for this role, experience in a similar or relevant field will demonstrate your interest and passion for project management. More importantly though is the desire for knowledge and growth, a hunger to find out more, to ask loads of questions and to question the status quo with new ideas.
Projects are likely to include large B2B multi-faceted engagements for many thousands, smaller bespoke “boutique” conferences, large exhibitions, product launches, roadshows, experiential marketing campaigns, public events. Operational responsibilities include large scale logistics – F&B, crew management, security, staff management, venue management, furniture management and overarching project management. A passion for the full range of integrated event production in all these different environments is a key element for this role.
An interest in learning about, understanding and becoming confident to talk about the logistical and operational elements of live event production would be a definite asset for this individual. This understanding that the physical aspects of event operations marry with the ability to understand a client’s objective and goals will ensure the work that this person delivers for the team is in line with what the event and the client require.
You will attend client meetings, and work with a wide range of internal team members, so you will need to have strong interpersonal skills.
The role will require a large amount of computer work and an understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint will be a day-to-day requirement. A basic understanding of budget management would be useful.
