GPJ is looking for a 2D Designer to join its London office. With 5 Years + under your belt, you will have a great eye for design within the experiential and events industry.

The Designer will be a key member of the design team. You will be supporting the design team ensuring all of our creative output is on brand, while pushing the boundaries of the brand and becoming a brand guardian across our group of clients. Our projects are varied, from events, exhibitions, product launches, brand, activations, digital & mobile. You will be required to work within existing brand guidelines and also be able to take design concepts to new, exciting and innovative levels – always making sure deadlines are met, managing your workload and working on several projects at the same time. 

We require a strong and confident 2D Graphic Designer with experience in installations and brand storytelling. You will have the ability to communicate clearly your ideas to the team and art directly across different media from activation to print and digital. The Designer should be fluent in Adobe CC Suite. Our projects require a wide variety of design disciplines including design for print and large format, concept creation, digital and social media and video and animation. You will have the ability and passion to extend into these disciplines working with suppliers in an art directing capacity.

Key Responsibilities  

Team Working & Management

  • Working closely with the Executive Creative Director to support the wider team
  • Be able to explain design concepts to non-designers and sell in ideas & challenge/interrogate briefs
  • Manages own tasks and responsibilities when part of project teams or working autonomously

Creative Delivery & Output

  • Working with the Creative Director to contribute to the creative strategy and conceptual ideas
  • Support the creative department on all incoming Client project opportunities
  • Develops innovative creative concepts across of all design and creative outputs 
  • Taking creative and design from concept through final visuals, bringing the ideas to life
  • Have a clear understanding of working with and implementing client guidelines and how these execute within space
  • Problem solve by working with the wider team to offer creative solutions


  • Have an awareness of company vision and design identity and drive design consistency across all of our brands
  • Taking responsibility for adhering to our client’s look and feel and guidelines
  • Delivers to the highest standard across all design and creative projects
  • Prioritise, schedule and manage workload across multiple projects to ensure design and creative projects are delivered on time 


  • Strong effective communicator with good face-to-face interaction skills
  • Must be able to clearly communicate and manages expectations of more senior members of the team
  • Helps foster a culture of ideas, experimentation and collaboration
  • Builds strong relationships with other departments in the business
  • Actively participates and contributes constructively in meetings
  • Develops an understanding and relationship with other disciplines/stakeholders involved in projects across GPJ

About you

Your Background, Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 Years + agency experience or within a similar design/experiential environment
  • Previous experience in an agency or within a similar design/experiential environment is essential
  • Proven track record in creating great design work from concept to production 
  • Working knowledge of online and offline design, brand development and the creative process 
  • Working knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography & limitations of online and offline design work 
  • Working Knowledge & proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite, and in MS Office & Apple programs
